The Coastguard and the Reefguard
The Dutch Coastguard is very important for many topics, but for the Marine life they are important in the fight for coral protection.
One of their priorities is catch spear fishers and investigate in case of damage to the coral life.
Showing presence is a good way to create public awareness.
That is one of the tasks of the volunteers work with the Reefguard 2
Mid June 2005 there was a nice presentation about joined actions close to the shore lines of Curaçao.
Eye ball contact at sea, communication and navigation was demonstrated.
