history files.
Although the coral reefs
of Curacao are among the best of the Caribbean, they have deteriorated
seriously since the nineteen eighty’s and Reef Care Curaçao wants to prevent any further decline. All
potential stress factors must be reduced to a minimum in order to maximize the
resilience of the coral reef in the face of global climate change. And people
must be made aware of the fact that Curacao’s reefs are among the best of the
region and consequently attracting more and more dive tourism, making them
invaluable to the economy. That's what
Reef Care Curacao is about.
As from 2007 the board has
the following members:
Chairman: Dave Kolenouski
Treasurer: Maryke Kolenouski
Secretary: Gerard van Buurt
member: Wendel Jennie
